Move around the locals engaged in the daily prayers to admire the authenticity of this devotional site. After witnessing the appealing elegance of this mosque, move to Chandni Chowk.
Chandni Chowk Duration: 1 Hour
Old Delhi’s resplendent Chandni Chowk market opens an iconic shopping gateway, dotted by essentials to explore. Accolades for being the backbone of Old Delhi, this famous Moonlight Market sells almost everything that you want, and even more. Walk around the maze of its cramped alleyways on a rickshaw to witness the bustling glimpses of city’s local life, which is no less than an adventure.
Raj Ghat Duration: 15 Minutes
After exploring limelight of the Chandni Chowk, it’s time to drive pass the cremation site of Gandhi memorial. Located peacefully on the banks of Yamuna River, Raj Ghat is a beautiful park seating a black-marbled platform indicating the spot where Gandhi was buried in 1948, following his assassination. Stop some time at Raj Ghat, click pictures and enjoy being at this peaceful site. Then, continue to Red Fort.
Red Fort Duration: 1 Hour
Get ready to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Red Fort. Through this one hour short walk, you’ll be discovering one of the grand legacies of Mughals in the national capital. Founded by Shah Jahan, this red stone structure takes almost 10 years to finish its construction. After exploring its red stone beauty of this heritage site, stop en-route for 1 hour to have your lunch at a local eatery.
Qutub Minar Duration: 40 minutes
After lunch, continue to explore modernity of New Delhi by first visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qutub Minar. Standing intricately from 1193, this 73 meters tall minaret is designated for being the world’s tallest brick tower. Erected beautifully by sandstones bearing holy Quran cravings, the Qutub Minar Complex welcomes aboard to admire its architectural beauty.
India Gate Duration: 1 Hour
