Gateway of India
Gateway of India, it’s an 85-feet-tall triumphal arch that’s located on the waterfront at the Apollo Bunder. Mumbai’s emblematic landmark stands opposite the city’s oldest luxury hotel, Taj Mahal Palace. Inaugurated in 1924 to memorialize the landing of King George V and Queen Mary in India, it’s the first structure that visitors would see when they Mumbai viase away, hence its name. Interestingly, Gateway of India not only introduces grandeur of British Empire, it's also the classic example of Hindu-Islamic art and architecture.

Marine Drive
Marine Drive is a 3-km long waterfront thoroughfare in South Mumbai which connects Nariman Point and Malabar Hills. Running along the coastline of Arabian Sea, Marine Drive has calm sea on its one side and city's bustling on others. In the night, when the street lights are on, this c-shaped lane resembles a string of diamonds in a necklace, hence it’s also named as Queen’s Necklace. Mumbai’s another attraction Chowpatty Beach locates on the northern end of Marine Drive. This lively seashore gets travelers throughout the year.
